Upper body workout. No running today. Fast miles tomorrow and long run Saturday.
Since I love my new shoes (last years Pure Flows), I decided to try to get another pair before they disappear. I found a deal on Amazon and picked up a pair for $60.

once you find a pair you like, it's smart to stockpile. they are always changing things!
good luck with the speed tomorrow and the weekend LR.

Well, speed is a relative term. Really it is only marathon pace and only a tree would think my marathon pace was speedy.
As for the shoes, I'd actually like to try the new ones. The stockpiling is more of an economic strategy.

trees have a lot of clout with the government, so it's a sound strategy to impress them with things like fast running, economics, etc.

Do all trees have clout or just particular species? I have a silver maple that grew beyond my ability to water it adequately so we cut it down to almost nothing. I hope that doesn't affect my property taxes negatively. I mean, the tree really should realize that it was for its own good, but those kinds of lessons take time and perspective to appreciate, and in tree years, this thing could be holding a grudge for a looooong time.
Do you happen to know what sort of tree I might plant to help lower vehicle registration fees?

with local and state issues, ginkgo biloba. anything with the federal government will require a well-pruned russian olive.
